Content creator Joel Mondina, more popularly known as “Pambansang Kolokoy” announced that he and wife Marites Mondina have called it quits after 20 years of being together.
In a YouTube video, Pambansang Kolokoy who is known for his comedy skits and mukbang videos, also admitted that he is now seeing someone else.
He said he had no plans of talking about it yet because they are still going through some process but he wanted to answer followers who had been looking for Marites in his videos.
“Para po magkaroon na kayo ng peace of mind and hopefully matapos na yung mga iniisip-isip ninyo… Me and Marites, we are no longer together… Ayaw ko pa sanang magsalita kasi meron pa kaming process na ginagawa ngayon,” he said.
Pambansang Kolokoy also said that he is happy in his current relationship.
“Kung tatanungin n’yo naman po, am I with someone else? Yes, I’m with someone else now and we’re happy. Hindi naman po ako nagsisisi na nangyari ‘yon,” he said.
He also addressed followers and explained that he and Marites might look like a perfect couple, but they do not really see everything that is happening.
“Everytime you see me on social media, me and Marites, parang such a perfect relationship. Ang dami-daming nagsasabi, idol namin si Marites and si Kolokoy because you guys have a perfect relationship, perfect couple kayo. That’s social media, mga bestfriend. Siyempre alangan namang ipakita mo yung mga tunay na nangyayari in front of the camera. Of course you’re not gonna do that.”
Pambansang Kolokoy also assured that he will continue to support their children.
“They are okay. They are very okay. Lahat po ng gusto nila, lahat po ng hilingin nila, kahit na hindi ko kaya, kinakaya ko dahil anak ko po yun, mga bestfriend. Hindi po ako pabayang ama. Alam po ng Diyos yan….Hindi ko pababayaan ang mga anak ko dahil anak ko sila.”
